Proton Motor installs hydrogen fuel cell as backup energy source at Deutsche Bahn train station control center

Proton Motor installed a hydrogen fuel cell in the control center of the Deutsche Bahn train station as a backup energy source. In the event of a power failure, the fuel cell will provide reliable emergency power to control centers and train stations.

Fuel cells have an overwhelming advantage over traditional diesel generators because water and heat are the only emissions from fuel cells. This sign is exactly the opposite of the carbon dioxide and various nitrogen oxides emitted from diesel generators.

Proton Motor systems are extremely reliable, making them ideal for integration into critical infrastructure. The system is also extremely energy efficient, requiring almost no maintenance, and can be remotely and digitally monitored, further reducing the cost and workload required for service and maintenance. The system only needs to be checked once a year.

The system is currently being tested, and once all tests are completed, the fuel cell system will be used throughout the German railway system.
