Rubberlite launches new water-based PU functional coating SUR-fex SF200

Rubberlite introduces new SUR-fex SF water-based functional coatings for applications where comfort and breathability are critical.

The company claims that the series is suitable for medical, apparel, cosmetics, footwear, equestrian, filler and skin contact applications. SUR-fex microcellular open-cell foam coatings do not block airflow, reduce heat buildup, and ensure comfort.

One of the products, SF100, is soft to the touch while maintaining flexibility. The company claims that the material is washable, has an enhanced coefficient of friction, is thermoformable, and has no outgassing.

SUR-fex SF200 cures at lower temperatures. This means that the coating can be cast directly on a variety of flexible substrates, including fabrics, foams, films and foils.

"These products can enhance the surface of many substrates to improve their functional properties in medical, apparel, cosmetics, and general filler applications.
