Russia`s Anisoprint launched a new basalt fiber composite material (CBF) for continuous fiber 3D printing technology in June 2019. Parts printed with this material are 30 times stronger than plastic and 2 times stronger than aluminum. The specific gravity is also lighter. German Lipex Engineering GmbH invested 50 million euros in Russia to start building a basalt fiber production line to meet the rapidly growing market demand for basalt fiber.
