Umatex Rosatom cooperated with an Italian motorcycle racing team, the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing Team, to jointly promote the application of carbon fiber in motorsports. A corresponding agreement was signed in Moscow on December 13, 2018.

According to Umatex Rosatom, the annual global carbon fiber consumption of motorcycle component manufacturers is about 600 tons, and carbon fiber consumption comes in the form of fabrics and prepregs. Andrey Ignatiev, Umatex Rosatom's sales director, said: "Our goal is to account for 5% of the international market for modified motorcycle parts. This will increase our export of carbon fiber fabrics and prepregs by 20%."
