On October 23, 2019, on the opening day of the 2019 Taicang Golden Autumn Economic and Trade Month, Schaeffler's new base was officially laid in the Taicang High-tech Zone.
Schaeffler's new Taicang base is located in the Taicang High-tech Zone, covering an area of approximately 90,000 square meters. It will be engaged in the production of automotive engine parts, new energy automotive parts and aerospace bearing services in the future. The new base will gather special equipment manufacturing and other projects to gradually form business scale effects and improve production and operation efficiency. In addition, Schaeffler will relocate the Schaeffler Taicang Chaoyang Road factory to a new manufacturing base, providing a new space for sustainable development and industrial layout of Taicang city planning. The new base is expected to be completed and put into production in 2022.

As the main production base of Schaeffler Greater China, the Taicang base currently includes 2 parks, 4 factories, a dual training center, and a comprehensive service center. After the new base is completed, the Schaeffler Taicang base will exceed 230,000 square meters, providing new momentum for Schaeffler's layout and development in Taicang. In the future, Schaeffler Taicang Base will continue to integrate green energy-saving and environmental protection technology, sustainable development operation concepts, and use cutting-edge technologies such as digital engineering and automation technology to implement the concept of green development.
