SCHOTT Glass will build new crystallized glass crystallizing line and flat glass automated production line in Suzhou, and increase pharmaceutical packaging glass production line

On August 20, Suzhou High-tech Zone and SCHOTT Glass Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. signed an investment agreement. SCHOTT Suzhou will increase its registered capital by USD 21.35 million, introduce three new projects from its headquarters, and increase the construction of its R & D center.

In 2019, SCHOTT Suzhou plans to introduce three new projects from the headquarters and further increase R & D investment. With the signing of the contract, the company will build new crystallized glass crystallization lines and flat glass automated production lines, and increase pharmaceutical packaging glass production lines. It is planned to be completed in 2020, and the output value will be doubled after reaching production. The new production line introduced by the company represents the most advanced technology at the German headquarters. It has a number of global patents, high added value and high degree of automation.

Chen Wei, general manager of SCHOTT Suzhou, said that the group attaches great importance to the development of the Chinese market. At present, the sales of the Chinese market ranks second in the world, and it is expected to become SCHOTT's top sales region in the future.
