Sekisui Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. has created a colored carbon fiber material that is processed by sputtering technology: an ultra-thin layer of ionized metal particles is directly bonded to the surface to make a colored carbon fiber fabric

The Japanese auto supplier is represented by Masayuki Suda, CEO of Sekisui Chemical, Europe's first Sekisui company, which was established in 1962. Throughout the IAA exhibition, experts from suda and sekisui's automotive and transportation business strategy departments explained onsite individual products such as glowing pvb and the company's new color carbon, and discussed the benefits of each product. To help, suda released the sekisui's eye-catching concept car.

The motto "Drive the future with sustainable innovation" is the perfect description, as this concept car is more than just an eye-catching model: it provides a visual expression of the Sekisui brand values and showcases the international Japanese company's Product solutions for the automotive market. This futuristic car was exhibited at the Sekisui booth, while also showing more details about Sekisui's latest innovations. Following the IAA, interested parties can experience this concept car in Helmond, the Netherlands, which will be available in the car park in late October 2019.

Sekisui's concept car incorporates a number of innovative products that enhance comfort and safety:

The interlayer film for laminated glass is used for automobile glass, which can prevent the glass from penetrating or scattering in the event of an accident, and has the function of preventing ultraviolet rays. In addition to these basic functions, Sekisui's high-performance S-LEC interlayer also has sound insulation, heat insulation and HUD compatibility, and provides passengers with a clearer image of important information. These products help improve the comfort and safety of cars. Sekisui's concept car uses windshield HUD and Sekisui's "Luminous PVB": an interlayer film with simultaneous lighting function, which can display information on the entire windshield and other windows.

Sekisui Color Carbon is an eye-catching product installed in the concept car: a carbon fiber material treated with sputtering technology. Sekisui created an ultra-thin layer of ionized metal particles that directly bonded to the surface and was able to create amazingly colorful carbon fiber fabrics. Various colors can be achieved depending on the type of metal. This means more customization options while retaining all the benefits of carbon without reducing color. Sekisui also offers a variety of products that improve the safety, reliability, and weight characteristics of lithium-ion batteries and their related electronic control units. One of these thermal management materials is thermal grease, which has high electrical conductivity, abrasion resistance and low outgassing.

Sekisui's thermal interface materials are worth improving, especially for environmentally friendly vehicles. Another product is a "Fi-Block" fire-resistant material that reduces the risk of battery fire spread. Most polyurethane foams are flammable, but stagnant Puxflama foams are highly fire resistant. Sekisui offers a variety of plastics, automotive molded products and tapes. Recent developments in Sekisui foam products provide a degree of light transmission.

Masayuki Suda summarized the ideas behind the emergence of IAA, saying:

"We are sharing our vision for future mobility solutions," "It revolves around our concept cars and showcases the major innovations we can offer car manufacturers and suppliers."
