On October 11, 2016, Solar Frontier (Japan, Tokyo) announced that its cumulative shipments of CIS thin-film solar photovoltaic panels have exceeded 4GW and are currently sold to about 60 countries.
Eleven new countries with 1GW of PV module shipments last year included Norway, Somalia and Mongolia.
The Kunitomi factory started manufacturing photovoltaic modules with a output of 175W as its main product.
Solar Frontier's Kunitomi plant (annual production capacity of 900 MW) began commercial production in 2011 and has been fully operational since then.
At the same time, through the continuous efforts of Solar Frontier, the photovoltaic performance has been greatly improved. This month, the factory began to produce solar panels with an output of 175W.
