Spanish manufacturer of 3D printer TRIDITIVE uses BASF metal polymer wires Ultrafuse 316LX to mass produce metal parts

Spanish 3D printer maker Triditive is looking for solutions to accelerate the use of continuous additive manufacturing of metal parts.

Manufacturers of 3D printers will achieve high-volume production goals with their AMCELL 3D printers and Ultrafuse 316LX wire made by BASF, the world's largest chemical producer.

Mariel Diaz, CEO of TRIDITIVE, said: "Parts printed with BASF metal materials and AMCELL equipment meet the geometric and surface quality requirements for mass production of final parts. The controlled construction room environment in AMCELL and its optimized extrusion process have achieved Porosity is usually similar from Metal Injection Molding (MIM). "

AMCELL, 7 * 24h automatic manufacturing machine

TRIDITIVE's AMCELL is a conveyor 3D printer that can produce up to 10,000 parts per month. Through its control software and remote monitoring, AMCELL makes additive manufacturing a viable solution for mass production in 24h * 7 days.

AMCELL is capable of producing a range of highly complex and extremely sophisticated metal and plastic parts. The machine is designed as a fully automatic and controlled system. It uses EVM software to manage orders, prioritize print jobs, reduce machine downtime and remotely monitor production processes.

The automatic load and consumption control of the wire helps AMCELL operate unsupervised for most of the entire production process, and minimizes labor and intervention. The AMCELL machine can be seen at the 2018 Formnext Hall Hall 3.0 in Hall A28.

In addition, TRIDITIVE also showed SCALADD, an additive manufacturing center with multiple AMCELL 3D printers built in to automate mass production. By the end of 2018, SCALADD's production capacity will reach 30,000 parts per month.

The main purpose of SCALADD is to provide turnkey services for affiliated customers, customers can access a certain percentage of the production capacity of TRIDITIVE. SCALADD aims to provide value-added manufacturing capabilities and all services of the AM value chain in the SCALADD Consortium.

In addition, the company has access to TRIDITIVE's global partner network. A list of these partners will be released this week.

Parts made with AMCELL and Ultrafuse 316LX

BASF Ultrafuse 316LX is a metal-polymer composite made of 316L stainless steel type powder. According to existing high-throughput metal injection molding industry (MIM) standards and sintering, the final metal parts are produced with high quality.

The combination of AMCELL's ability to automate high-volume production with Ultrafuse 316LX enables the manufacture of cost-effective 3D printed parts.

AMCELL's easy loading and unloading of materials eliminates the potential dangers inherent in other AM processes that use metal powders such as powder bed melting (PBF), direct metal deposition (DMD), or adhesive spraying.
