Russia's Tomsk University of Technology has developed a special nanowire with Chinese and German experts. According to the characteristics of this nanowire, it can be used as a special transparent electrode in flexible electronic products and solar products. This research and development achievement is based on a new research method of nanostructure synthesis. Related research results were published in the journal "Nanomaterials".
The Asia-Europe staff of Tomsk University of Technology said that the flexible electrode composed of nanowires is a lattice structure with a light transmittance exceeding 95%, which can be compared with the transparency of window glass. Compared with other electrodes made of silver nanowires, the nanowires developed this time have higher electrical conductivity.
The researchers also explained that modern optoelectronics requires components based on such wires. To improve the energy efficiency of solar cells, displays, and light-emitting diodes (LEDs), transparent electrodes must be used. At the same time, these components have the characteristics necessary to manufacture high-quality flexible electronic products.
It is reported that researchers from China University of Electronic Technology and Chemnitz University of Technology participated in the joint research on the above results.
