The China Graphene Technology Group’s para-aramid production line was put into production, which paved the way for the nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes and graphene synthesis para-aramid project Hay:D01NMSM

On November 23, 2019, the localized para-aramid made by the NMSM Graphene Technology Group and many graphene research institutions in China and aramid fiber research institutions made significant progress. After more than 3 months of commissioning and operation from the feeding to the wire collection, the para-aramid production line with an annual output of 100 tons was successfully put into production, and various technical indicators are expected to meet international similar product standards.

The annual production of 100 tons of para-aramid production line will prepare for the annual production of 3000 tons of nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes and graphene synthetic para-aramid and spinning process projects. The project covers a total area of ​​150 acres. The construction area is 52600 square meters. The project is divided into two phases of construction. The first phase of the 100-ton para-aramid demonstration line was put into trial operation in November 2019. The construction procedures for the second-phase 3,000-ton capacity have been completed and equipment procurement is in progress. The implementation of the project will break the foreign monopoly on aramid technology and accelerate the industrialization process of localized para-aramid.

Para-aramid fiber is a new type of high-tech synthetic fiber, which has excellent physical and mechanical properties, thermal stability, flame retardancy and excellent electrical insulation properties. Its strength is 5 to 6 times that of high-quality steel, and its modulus is The steel is 2 to 3 times, the toughness is twice that of steel, and the weight is only 1/5 of steel, which has the reputation of "synthetic steel wire". It is widely used in aerospace, optical cable and national defense construction. It is the basic material for the development of China's high-tech industry. Only a few countries in the world such as the United States, Japan, and Russia have the production technology of para-aramid fiber.
