In the joint project "AeroFurnace" funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi), the consortium consists of the Bavarian Applied Energy Research Center eV (ZAE Bayern) as the joint coordinator, the furnace manufacturer FCT Systeme and SGL Carbon participate.
With the cooperation of the three parties, the thermal insulation performance of the new composite material was successfully increased by 120%. This enables project partners to reach a new level of thermal insulation quality in high-temperature industrial applications, and pave the way for energy-efficient thermal insulation.
