The Incoloy 800H forgings supplier for HTR:High-Temperature gas-cooled Reactor Hay:T03GZXL

The landmark achievement of China’s national major science and technology project and the world’s first fourth generation nuclear power plant – the Huaneng Shidao Bay High Temperature Gas Cooled Reactor Nuclear Power Plant Demonstration Project – have officially entered commercial operation, marking China’s achievement in the world’s leading level in the research and application of fourth generation nuclear power technology.

 

GZXL has successively conquered multiple core forging preparation technologies for Incoloy 800 HNi Fe Cr corrosion-resistant alloy materials, completed the first domestic substitution research and development task, and filled the gap in related fields in China.

 

The Incoloy 800 HNi Fe Cr corrosion-resistant alloy material developed by the company is a high-quality material with good strength, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and carburization resistance under high temperature conditions:

 

It has good tensile strength above 600 ℃ and still has good toughness when working for a long time below 700 ℃. It also has good resistance to corrosion in reducing, oxidizing, and nitriding media, as well as corrosion in oxidizing and reducing alternating media. It has high metallurgical stability in long-term high-temperature applications and is widely used in special environments with medium to high temperature, high pressure, and corrosion resistance.

GZXL has been deeply involved in the manufacturing of small and medium-sized forgings in nuclear power equipment for a long time. As early as 2009, GZXL was involved in the research and development of forgings for the high-temperature gas cooled reactor project. Multiple products of this project are truly high-tech, forging, and processing difficult products, and this type of technology has long been mastered by Western countries.

 

The design difficulty of the fourth generation high-temperature gas cooled reactor is much greater than that of previous generations of conventional nuclear power units. Its core equipment has extremely high requirements for the materials used for forgings, and needs to fully consider conditions such as strength, lifespan, and comprehensive safety.

 

Starting from the second half of 2022, GZXL has successively undertaken the research and manufacturing tasks of 800H material forgings such as the main steam pipe plate and nozzle flange, as well as 508 material forgings such as the shell section and loop flange of the hot gas duct for this project.

 

The heat-resistant aluminum alloy forgings developed by the company can work stably for a long time in a high temperature environment of 300 ℃.
