After four years of unremitting technological innovation and accumulation, TBDY Cable Technology Corporation has successfully developed intermediate frequency drum power cables for aircraft, breaking through foreign technological blockades, filling the gap in China, and imprinting "Made in China" on aircraft transmission cables.
Entering the TBDY production workshop, on the busy production line, copper rods are twisted by machines to tightly combine multiple strands of small copper wires. This is the wiring process for processing and manufacturing intermediate frequency drum power cables for aircraft.
"The intermediate frequency drum power supply cable for aircraft manufacturing is composed of more than 6000 steel wires, each with a diameter of only 0.2 millimeters." TBDY Technical Department engineer Wang Yi introduced that the intermediate frequency drum power supply cable for aircraft is mainly used for 400Hz aircraft charging power supply near the airport runway bridge, and for distant aircraft avionics cars, to transmit power to arriving aircraft and ensure the reserve of electrical energy for onboard power storage equipment upon arrival at the port.
The cable protective layer adopts a sandwich structure of "inner sheath layer/aramid fiber reinforced fiber structure/outer sheath layer", and ensures the integration effect of the structure through high-pressure extrusion molding process. At the same time, high wear-resistant materials are used as the outer sheath layer, all of which are to increase the flexibility and wear resistance of the cable, and can increase its service life.
However, aircraft use intermediate frequency drum charging cables as the connection line for transmitting electrical energy from the ground to the aircraft. Due to the complex technical process and harsh usage conditions, they have always relied on imports. Almost 100% of China's civil aviation airports use German CAVOTEC integrated cable assemblies.
TBDY has continuously updated its plans and conducted trial production on the aircraft. After 4 years of independent research and development, it has mastered the core technology of civil aviation aircraft power cables and successfully developed intermediate frequency drum charging cables for aircraft use.
At present, this product can rub on the ground more than 3500 times, and its wear resistance is comparable to similar imported products. Due to its technological innovation, this product has obtained multiple invention patents and utility model patents, and has won the third prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Progress Award.
