On October 20, 2020, China's first C919 medium and large passenger aircraft rear fuselage Y-connection titanium alloy forging was successfully developed in ZGEZ Die Forging Technology Corporation.
C919 rear fuselage Y-shaped connecting piece is a large titanium alloy die forging with a total length of about 3.4 meters. It is a typical asymmetric, high rib, thin web, long arc forging with ribs on both sides of the parting surface. It has many forging difficulties, such as large opening radian, small sectional area, and easy deformation.
The successful development of the Y-shaped connector of the rear fuselage has enhanced the independent supporting ability of the C919 aircraft project, which will provide a strong guarantee for the C919 aircraft to soar in the blue sky.
