On October 29, ZGTY Green Fiber Technology Group’s "New Solvent-based Cellulose Fiber Industrialization Project with an annual output of 60,000 tons" was officially put into operation, marking that ZGTY’s new solvent-based cellulose fiber technology with independent intellectual property rights has completed China’s single-line Lyocell The construction of the largest fiber production capacity project. After the project reaches production capacity, China Textile Green Fiber will have a production capacity of 90,000 tons of Lyocell fiber, becoming the Lyocell fiber manufacturer with the largest production capacity in China and the second in the world.
New solvent-processed cellulose fiber is also called Lyocell fiber. Its industrialization technology is a key R&D project in China's "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" and "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan", and is also one of the important landmark technologies for China's transformation from a major textile country to a powerful one. The project uses the complete set of Lyocell fiber industrialization technology independently developed by ZGTY Textile Research Institute. ZGTY has experienced 18 years of research since 1998, from small-scale and pilot-scale trials to 10,000-ton industrialization to the 30,000-ton production line.
The 60,000 tons of Lyocell fiber project put into production this time started construction on February 21, 2019. It is the third phase of ZGTY's additional construction on the basis of the first and second phases of the 30,000 tons of Lyocell fiber project.
