The National Center for Advanced Materials Performance announced the first approved thermoplastic composite material. Toray’s low melting point polyaryletherketone composite material (LM PEAK) CETEX TC1225 composite material is listed

Toray CETEX TC1225 composite material became the first thermoplastic composite material approved in the report of the National Advanced Materials Performance Center. The material is a low melting point polyaryletherketone composite material (LM PEAK), which has product forms such as unidirectional tape, fabric prepreg and thermoplastic laminate.

According to Toray Advanced Composites, CETEX TC1225 is a thermoplastic composite material made of semi-crystalline PEAK resin. Compared with other PAEK materials, although the process temperature of this product is 50-75 ° C (122-167 ° F), it still has outstanding high temperature performance.

The product has been fully tested and certified at the National Advanced Materials Performance Center since 2018.
