The Orca Group and G. Angeloni, ITT, Dynanotex, Impregnatex form the European Carbon Fiber Composites Group

The Orca Group (The Orca Group, Mouscron, Belgium) specializes in the production of elastomer-coated textiles and thermoplastic multilayer films, and has now established a third branch specialized in carbon fiber fabrics and high-tech composite materials. The branch, called the Angeloni Group, brings together Orca and its partners G. Angeloni, ITT, Dynanotex and Impregnatex.

The Angeloni Group was formed to provide customers in the technical composites market with expertise, innovation, efficiency and flexibility. Each of the group's four companies plays a different role:

G. Angeloni srl (Quarto d'Altino, Italy) is a trading company for composite raw materials, including carbon fiber fabrics;

ITT srl (Lesmo, Italy), responsible for the development and production of reinforced textiles or fabrics based on high-tech fibers;

Dynanotex srl (Quarto d'Altino, Italy) develops and produces special reinforcement materials through patented technology;

Impregnatex Compositi (Castano Primo, Italy) develops and produces prepreg reinforcements.

The unity is a vertically integrated group designed to provide customers with effective solutions, high levels of service, responsiveness and reliability, designed to meet the needs of global niche markets.

After acquiring Pennel & Flipo in 2015 and then acquiring Fait Plast in 2017, Orca will manage the Angeloni Group and continue to accelerate its strategy to establish a pan-European player in high-tech engineering materials. With this acquisition, Orca plans to become a top producer of carbon fiber fabrics in Europe.

Angeloni's historical shareholders Mario and Marco Angeloni, and Claudio Torno, founder of Impregnatex, will reinvest in the business, hold management positions during the transition period, and then move to a new board. In addition, the second-generation Angeloni and Torno families will take responsibility to predict the future development of the company.

"The new team has very broad industry knowledge and a very dynamic team with more than 30 years of experience," said Mario Angeloni, G. Angeloni's historical shareholder. "Based on our expertise in the carbon composite value chain, we can support our global customers through a professional and highly qualified technical team to provide fast and targeted customer project solutions."
