The pressure-resistant glass bulb developed by the Chinese ultra-light and high-strength hollow glass beads manufacturer passed the 11,000-meter deep sea pressure test Hay:B04AHKS

Recently, China’s leading manufacturer of ultra-light and high-strength hollow glass beads: AHKS Glass Material Technology Corporation has successfully completed its first 10,000-meter sea trial and test in the Mariana Trench. The task of sexual application fills the gap in the glass ball cabin of China's 10,000-meter-scale domestically made submarine seismograph.

Submarine seismograph is a high-tech product developed in recent years. It has a wide range of applications in oil and gas exploration, scientific research, disaster prevention and mitigation, and is a new growth point in the development of geophysical instruments and detection technology. However, the seabed seismograph cannot be placed directly on the seabed. It needs to be placed in a pressure-resistant glass spherical capsule. As the core component of the seabed seismograph, the glass spherical capsule is a hardware guarantee and safety barrier for humans to enter the 10,000-meter deep sea. Prior to this, this type of seismograph glass capsule (11,000 meters) that can be applied to the entire sea depth, only Germany in the world has the preparation capability, and the glass capsules used by China's submarine seismographs are all dependent on imports, which restricts my country's marine related fields Research and development of related application industries.

The project has gone through three and a half years of key technology research and testing and verification. The R&D team has overcome many difficulties and carried the two segments of the TS21 voyage of Discovery 1 from August to December this year. It has carried out 3 times in the Philippine Basin in the 7700-meter class. In the sea trials, four 11,000-meter-class sea trials were carried out in the Mariana Trench, and successfully passed the 10,000-meter sea trial acceptance.
