The quality of China’s electronic grade high-purity polysilicon materials has reached the international advanced level

On October 31, Tian Xin, general manager of Xinhua Semiconductor, said at the 2018 IC Industry Development Forum that GCL's electronic grade polysilicon has achieved continuous and stable mass production, stable production processes, and product quality that has reached internationally advanced levels. At present, the products have been sold in mainstream domestic silicon wafer manufacturers, and they have begun to expand their markets to overseas semiconductor silicon wafer manufacturers.

Tian Xin said that after a year of trial production and verification, Xinhua has now introduced a variety of quality management tools to achieve comprehensive quality management of electronic grade polysilicon. Not only does the product index far exceed the national standard of electronic grade polysilicon, the process capability index CPK used to measure the process control capability also reaches the international top. According to the specifications, the product can meet the requirements of 12-inch large silicon wafers with low line width processing and various COP-FREE crystal growth technologies, and provide customers with a variety of balanced choices of quality and cost.

Due to the extremely high technical content of the semiconductor industry, there are stringent requirements for product quality and stability. As the source of the integrated circuit industry, various testing parameters of electronic grade polysilicon products must not only reach the technical specification line, but their process capability indicators are the focus of quality control. At present, electronic grade polysilicon companies generally use statistical methods to assist in quality control. The polysilicon product indicators of all batches and all processes are included in the process capability statistics. The process capability index CPK must be greater than 1.33. Otherwise, the instability of the polysilicon production process will bring unavoidable quality risks to the application of integrated circuit end products.

Tian Xin pointed out in the report that Xinhua Semiconductor relies on GCL-Poly's world-leading high-purity polysilicon production system, which not only achieved stable supply of raw materials and public media, but also effectively increased the efficiency and capacity limit of electronic-grade purification systems.
