On March 26th, the Hay Think team walked into the SDHH lightweight R&D and production base, and visited the lightweight full body assembly and parts project of SDHA Automotive Lightweight Technology Co., Ltd. and the lightweight extrusion structural parts of SDHH Lightweight Technology Co., Ltd.
According to relevant statistics, the transportation system consumes about 1/3 of the world's energy, and the weight of a car is closely related to its fuel consumption; scientific research shows that a 10% reduction in the weight of a car can save fuel by 6%-8%, and exhaust emissions. The amount can be reduced by 2.5%. Replacing steel with aluminum to reduce the weight of automobiles is of great significance to energy conservation and emission reduction.
In this context, SDHH is actively building a lightweight automotive R&D and production base, with a total investment of 1.612 billion yuan in the project.
SDHH's current technological development level of liquid die forging, semi-solid squeeze casting and foam aluminum technology is at the international advanced level. The project adopts the world's leading second-generation foam aluminum preparation technology independently researched and developed to realize the active control of the foam aluminum pore structure The combination of metallurgical grade and foamed aluminum sandwich structure significantly improves performance and stability. Through the "high-performance aluminum foam material" complete set of technical system solutions, it will make a greater contribution to the lightweight development of China and international automotive, high-speed rail, and military industries.
SDHH has established good cooperative relations with well-known domestic and foreign vehicle manufacturers such as Tesla and BYD, and has successfully provided overall solutions for automotive lightweight system solutions and new energy automotive parts.
