Recently, the trial production of ultra high strength steel plates for offshore engineering with a single weight of 20.72 tons was successfully completed in the 4300 mm wide and thick plate production line of SGJT Steel Plate and Strip Plant, and more than 3000 tons of products were supplied in batches.
This is the largest single product produced by the production line, marking a new step for SGJT in the field of steel plate production technology for shipbuilding and offshore engineering.
With the development of offshore engineering structures towards large-scale, the demand for large single weight steel plates for offshore engineering is growing.
For the extra thick, ultra wide and ultra high strength steel plate for offshore engineering required by the customer in this order, the rolling and heat treatment process was optimized according to the characteristics of the product in the process of development and production, so as to ensure the strength and toughness of the product. Finally, the product with size and performance meeting the requirements of users and standards was successfully produced.
The successful trial production and supply of large single weight ultra high strength steel plates for offshore engineering is another major breakthrough of the production line after the successful certification of the China Classification Society for high-performance offshore steel plates, which broadens SGJT Group's high-performance offshore steel product line.
