The QX8001 chip uses a 40nm semiconductor manufacturing process and is available in QFN44 and QFN68 packages with a volume of 5 mm x 5 mm x 1 mm and 7 mm x 7 mm x 1 mm. The clock frequency is 100 MHz and the average power consumption is only 0.1 watts. It can process 1920×1080 pixels high-definition images, the image encoding speed is 100 milliseconds, the comparison speed is 90,000 templates / second, the monocular error acceptance rate is 10-7, and the monocular error rejection rate is 10-3.

Due to its unique high cost performance, QX8001 can be integrated by general smart terminal equipment manufacturers such as smart watches, smart phones, smart door locks, and smart access control as general applications such as login, boot, encryption, payment, and door opening, and can also be collected by iris. Manufacturers of special-purpose terminal equipment such as cameras, police passers, customs clearance gate machines, etc. are integrated for special applications such as iris biometric database building, black-and-white list lookup, border and entry-exit control.
