Following the delivery of two 15.6-meter-diameter integral ring precision forgings in 2019, China's leading forging manufacturer SDYL Energy Equipment Technology Group once again provided important precision forgings to the fourth generation nuclear power sodium-cooled demonstration fast reactor.
The forgings provided this time are mainly "core" grade components, including cock components, pump support components, compensators and bottom flange components. The core component is located in the core position of the nuclear reactor. It must withstand the extreme temperature, complex stress and neutron irradiation of the reactor. It is the most technically demanding and strictest forging in fast reactors. Few domestic companies currently master this technology.
