Project review:
· On August 30, 2017, Photronics of the United States settled in Hefei High-tech Zone.
· On January 30, 2018, construction of the Shidai Mask Factory of Hefei Fengchuang Mask (PMCH) Co., Ltd. started.
· On October 16, 2018, the first lithography machine was moved in.
· On April 25, 2019, the project commencement ceremony was held.
Earlier in April, the plant's 10.5 generation masked version was shipped to customers.
Project Description:
Hefei Photronics is a wholly-owned enterprise of Photronics in the United States, focusing on the production of FPD's PhotoMask. The project investment is USD 160 million.
Photronics is the world's leading manufacturer of integrated circuit (IC) and flat panel display (FPD) photomasks. High-precision quartz plates contain microscopic images of electronic circuits, and photomasks are a key element in IC and FPD manufacturing processes. Founded in 1969, Photronics has been a trusted photomask supplier for 50 years. Today, the company has 1,575 employees in 11 strategic manufacturing sites in Asia, Europe and North America.
