TI Fluid Systems, the world’s leading supplier of automotive fuel system technology, provides support for new Volkswagen ID.3 and ID.4 electric vehicle models

TI Fluid Systems (LSE: TIFS), the world's leading supplier of automotive fuel system technology, has begun mass production of new thermal management products, assembly lines and technologies to provide support for new Volkswagen ID.3 and ID.4 electric vehicle models. ID.3 is the first compact hatchback launched by Volkswagen and its first mass-produced model based on Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB) technology. The ID.4 compact electric SUV will be launched later.

The new thermal management technology adopts the latest heat pump technology using R744 (also known as CO2) coolant to provide cooling and heating control, creating a comfortable cabin environment, and can improve operating efficiency under certain conditions and greatly improve battery life. TI Fluid Systems assembles the heat pump module with the electric valve, battery, bracket, and condenser equipped with related high-pressure aluminum tubes. The assembly of the heat pump module was completed by TI Fluid System's Jablonec Plant in the Czech Republic.

TI Fluid Systems will also provide chassis thermal coolant circuit assemblies made of a variety of materials including lightweight engineering polymers. TIFS also launched a new plant in Tangier, Morocco, to supply the electric vehicle market. The factory supplies finished hoses to Taust, Spain, for final assembly and verification testing.
