UAES [Robert Bosch China’s joint venture] first self-developed electric bridge product EAU100 rolled off the assembly line

In September 2020, UAES[Robert Bosch China's joint venture]'s first self-developed electric bridge product EAU100 was successfully rolled off the Taicang plant, which marked the start of mass supply of UAES's first electric bridge customer project. The maximum output power of this product is 105kW and the peak torque is 2,200NM.

What is EAU?


EAU is a bridge platform product independently developed by UAES for the Chinese market. It adopts an integrated design and highly integrates the drive motor, power electronic controller and reducer to provide a more compact product solution. EAU adopts a platform design concept, peak power covers 80-200kW, efficiency exceeds 93%, and can be configured with electronic parking function. It has a three-layer functional safety architecture with a functional safety level of up to ASIL D. At the same time, it introduces several new functions design.

EAU adopts a modular design, applying the latest controller technology, UAES self-packaged power modules, and self-developed pin motor platform. After a systematic development and design method, the performance of the electric bridge is greatly improved to meet the requirements of various levels of models. Performance requirements. In terms of efficiency, through the optimization of the system scheme and the improvement of the control strategy, the use of frequency conversion, overmodulation and other technologies have further improved the efficiency of the electric bridge. The maximum efficiency of the product exceeds 93%, which helps increase the vehicle's mileage and reduces battery pressure.


From the initial stage of development, the NVH design simulation and optimization are carried out from the system level, and the noise is controlled through software means such as harmonic injection to ensure that the bridge has excellent NVH characteristics throughout the entire speed range.


EAU relies on the UAES functional safety development system, adopts a three-layer functional safety architecture, and can support up to ISO26262 ASIL D safety level requirements. Through the cooperation of software and hardware functions, chip monitoring, emergency power supply and other design methods are adopted to ensure that the vehicle can still be in the designated safety mode under extreme conditions (such as collisions, loss of low-voltage power supply, etc.), thereby ensuring the safety and torque of the vehicle. High voltage safety.
