Ultra-light carbon fiber structure seat with 3D winding process weighs only 10 kg

An innovative ultra-lightweight seat weighing only 10 kilograms was presented to the public at the "Lightweight Structure Phase Change" seminar held near Trier, Germany. This is an innovative project jointly launched by seven very professional companies from Germany and Austria.

CSI Development Technology (Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany), Alba Mould & Engineering (Vorstau, Salzburg, Germany), Automotive Management Consulting (AMC, Panzburg, Germany) and four other partners It took seven months to develop a feasibility study for a joint project on lightweight seats. The development of this project requires not only the latest technology, but also faster working methods.

The innovative fiber composite component winding process designed by AMC can reduce most of the weight. The patented xFK in the 3D process is made of continuous fiber winding impregnated with resin into parts without waste.

CSI Development Technologies leverages the technological advantages of seat structure design to create lightweight seats that are ideally suited for supercars, sports cars or future air taxis.
