In early January 2023, PGJT Vanadium Titanium (Steel) Research Institute Titanium Steel Joint steel plant successfully rolled thick 0.015mm ultra-thin high-temperature alloy steel foil using domestic cold/warm rolling experimental mills.
The Ultra thin high-temperature alloy steel foil is widely used in high-end manufacturing industries such as aerospace, automotive manufacturing and electronic equipment.
Previously, TGJT and FJQT have successfully mass-produced 0.015mm thick ultra-thin stainless steel foil.

High temperature alloys are alloys that can work for a long time at high temperatures above 600 ℃ and under certain stress conditions. They have good elastic-plastic properties, oxidation resistance, hot corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, and fracture resistance.
PGJT has been committed to the research and development of high-temperature alloy technology and products for a long time. By improving equipment and continuously improving its research and development level and flexible production capacity, it has successfully rolled the first batch of ultra wide and ultra-thin high-temperature alloy hot-rolled flat steel in China, laying a good raw material foundation for PGJT’s development of “ultra-thin high-temperature alloy foils”.
The PGJT R&D team has carried out multiple technological upgrades on precision rolling mills, continuously optimizing the process. After two years of repeated accumulation of failure data and verification, they have successfully achieved a minimum rolling thickness leap from 0.15 mm to 0.015 mm, achieving stable mass production.
