Chinese ultra-thin titanium alloy strip manufacturer achieves commercial production of titanium alloy foil Hay:A04SCHJ

On July 10, 2022, China’s leading ultra-thin titanium alloy strip manufacturer: SCHJ Titanium Technology Corporation issued an announcement:

The company has achieved commercial production of 0.1×500mm wide titanium alloy foils. The products have been certified by a third-party authoritative testing agency, and their performance indicators have reached the national standards for titanium and titanium alloy strips and foils, becoming the third company in China to successfully roll this specification. Titanium Belt Company.

It is understood that 0.05-0.10mm ultra-thin titanium strips are widely used in aerospace, chemical, electronics and new energy fields, and have broad market prospects. However, due to the low elastic modulus and large springback of titanium metal, the dimensional accuracy control is poor, especially the rolling of extremely thin titanium strips is difficult and difficult to break through.

After years of technological innovation and accumulation, SCHJ can successfully roll 0.4mm to 1.2mm series products according to user needs, and break through the technical barriers of titanium foil production in less than 3 years.

“0.1mm is not our ultimate goal. Since the company achieved a historic breakthrough in the production of ultra-thin titanium strips, the company has completed the mill capability verification and data collection, and actively carried out the follow-up degreasing, heat treatment process test research and end products of 0.1mm titanium coils. The performance inspection and testing will continue to tackle key problems in the ultra-thin titanium strip rolling technology of 0.08mm and 0.05mm, and the matching related processes, and finally achieve technical curing and solidification and large-scale stable production.”
