The company’s new product, nuclear power grade titanium plate and strip, has achieved commercial production and will be used to build high-performance plate heat exchanger.
The commercial production of high-performance titanium plate and strip for nuclear power plate heat exchanger has been successfully achieved, breaking the foreign monopoly.
In May 2021, the project of “Localization Development of High Performance Titanium Plate and Strip for Nuclear Power Plate Heat Exchanger” officially passed the scientific and technological achievements appraisal of China Nuclear Energy Industry Association. The technology has reached the international advanced level, and has the industrialization conditions to replace the titanium plate and strip for imported plate heat exchanger.
At present, titanium plates and strips prepared by the technology of the project have been widely used in nuclear power, petroleum, PTA, offshore engineering and other fields.
Not long ago, the company realized mass production of “high-performance ultra wide titanium alloy thick plates for offshore engineering”, helping to manufacture China’s deep-sea space station and marine strategic equipment.
The high-strength and ductile titanium alloy plates with a thickness of 40mm and a width of 2000mm produced by the company have been recognized by industry experts.
At present, the company is developing titanium alloy plates with a width of more than 3000 mm to further help the country’s deep-sea cause.
