Virtual Foundry has recently obtained a patent for the use of metal composite wires to produce pure metal 3D prints using ordinary FDM 3D printers

On February 19, 2019, Virtual Foundry recently obtained a patent for the use of metal composite wires and ordinary FDM 3D printers to produce pure metal 3D prints. This solution enables low-cost, high-quality metal 3D printing. TVF customers are actively developing solutions for industries such as electric vehicles, refining, injection molding and nuclear power. Virtual Foundry's innovative materials are driving a rapidly expanding project.

For the past 4 years, Virtual Foundry has been quietly deploying its open architecture materials to the globally accepted industrial, academic, and research communities. TVF is currently working with laboratories within companies such as ZF North America, NASA and the Department of Defense to realize the full potential of its patented technology. Every month we see advanced development and third-party research from researchers at UCLA, the University of Wisconsin, and around the world.

"As we progress, our customers have begun to exceed our development speed to improve the sintering process. In response, we have focused on releasing new materials and promoting open collaboration with a wide range of customers. Our research department is now Made up of a metallurgical dream team, they have access to knowledge and laboratory equipment, and startups like ours cannot achieve internal creation. "-Bradley Woods, founder

Virtual Foundry sells the materials and equipment needed to burn 3D prints into pure metal. They provide inventory and custom sintering furnaces. The largest order so far is one cubic meter. The furnace will produce the largest FDM 3D printed metal part ever.

Virtual Foundry has established a joint venture with the world-renowned company Vulcan GMS.

"The recently granted patents provide a solid foundation for intellectual property. Between our intellectual property and development partners, Virtual Foundry is bringing FDM metallization printing to the mainstream."
