Voxeljet develops VJET X-IOB production line, 3D printing speed increased by 10 times

According to James Reeves, general manager of Voxeljet's UK division, the division is currently building a new additive manufacturing line, and 3D printing of automotive parts is expected to increase 10 times faster.

The new production line system VJET X-IOB not only prints 10 times faster than the Division's existing 3D printers, but also has comprehensive pre- and post-integrated processing capabilities. The VJET X-IOB production line does not simply increase the number of 3D printers, but focuses more on increasing the productivity of the printer. The newly built production line is a complete end-to-end additive manufacturing system that can achieve mass production of automotive parts.

"We carefully studied each step in the process and found opportunities for innovation." Reeves said. "This allows us to increase the printing speed of the new system by 10 times based on the existing 3D printing speed. We have realized post-processing automation, which greatly freed labor.

The original intention of developing the VJET X-IOB production line was to mold the key engine components, but after further details came out, Reeves predicted that the production line would attract attention in the automotive and aerospace fields. He believes that these markets have invested a lot in additive manufacturing, and naturally expect a system to achieve mass production.
