World’s first carbon fiber composite core conductor UHV transmission line put into operation in China

On the morning of December 10, the 1000 KV transmission line of Datang Xilinhaote Power Plant, the "Inner Mongolia Ximeng-Shandong" UHV supporting project, was officially put into operation. This is also the world's first UHV project with full-line carbon fiber composite conductors.

The line has a total length of 14.6 kilometers and is erected by a single circuit. The line uses carbon fiber composite core conductors independently developed by China.

The "Ximeng-Shandong" 1000 kV UHV AC transmission and transformation project is one of the 12 key transmission channels in the "National Air Pollution Control Action Plan". As an important supporting facility of the project, the on-grid operation of Datang Xilinhot Power Plant-Shengli Substation 1000 kV transmission line-can increase the transmission of 1.32 million kWh per year, which not only eases the power shortage in North China The situation will further improve the UHV AC grid structure in North China to ensure safe and reliable output of electrical energy.
