Yutian Chemical mainly produces polyols, polyurethane resins, composites and prepolymers. The company exhibited environmentally friendly polyurethane resins and inks at the 2018 China International Polyurethane Exhibition.
The company's resin products on display include: solvent-free synthetic leather resin, reduced alkali microfiber resin, and water-based coil coating resin.
The polyurethane ink exhibited by the company has a low solvent residue and is suitable for dry compounding and solventless compounding.
Feng Li, general manager of Yutian Guangzhou Branch, said that Yutian expects that its new plant in Qingdao, Shandong, will be fully put into operation soon, so that the company's total production capacity will reach 400,000 tons per year. The company achieved revenue of 3 billion yuan ($ 438 million) last year, a double-digit increase compared to 2016.
With the completion of the expansion project, the company expects the growth rate to slow in the next few years, but it should still keep pace with China's GDP growth rate.
Feng is confident in the development prospects of solvent-free leather resins and microfiber resins in the next decade.
