Italian service agency ZARE, located near Bologna, installed the country's first 3D Systems ProX SLS 61003D printer. The ProX Professional Formula SLS 6100 3D printer uses selective laser sintering to produce durable prototypes and production parts in a wide range of industrial grade nylon materials. Compared to similar 3D printers, the system has fast build times, automated production tools, including automated material handling, and lower total operating costs.
ZARE initially focused on CNC machining, expanded its products to include additive manufacturing services in 2009, and has been increasing its business every year since. The company is now focused on additive manufacturing. The company was the first to adopt the latest technology, focusing on prototyping and-more and more-focusing on final part production. Among other systems, it was the first company in Italy to install SLM Solutions' latest 4 laser system.
ZARE first learned about ProX SLS 6100 at Formnext 2017. It then partnered with 3D Systems' Italian channel partner 3DZ to purchase and install.
ZARE serves customers in a variety of industries, including motorsports, aerospace, automation and packaging, oil and gas, and medical and dental. An example of a newly installed ProX SLS 6100 application that helped them solve was parts for packaging machinery.
ZARE's 3D solution series also includes 3D Systems Geomagic Design X 3D scanning software to provide customers with reverse engineering services.
