That is: the longer the boom, the higher the risk of instability and breakage of the boom;
The longer the boom, the heavier the weight of the vehicle and the need for a chassis with more axles;
The longer the boom, the larger the open area of the outriggers, and there are few construction sites that can meet the floor space requirements of this long boom pump truck.
Although pump truck manufacturers continue to announce that they have created a world record for the length of the pump truck boom, due to the inability to cross these three mountains, this long boom pump truck cannot meet the technical standards of China and Europe, and can only be like a castle in the sky. Similarly, it is more symbolic and has no practical application value.
In order to cross the three mountains, in 2001, as one of the world's three major concrete machinery manufacturers, CIFA, Italy, took a unique approach, locked the research target of lightweight materials for pump truck booms to carbon fiber materials, and began independent research and development of carbon fiber booms.
After 8 years of concentrated research on carbon fiber composite booms, Zoomlion and CIFA Genesis have changed the history of human pump truck applications. For the first time, carbon fiber composite materials were applied to pump truck booms and the CARBOTECH series pump trucks were developed. Successfully developed the world's longest 80-meter, 101-meter carbon fiber boom pump truck, and realized construction application.
Through material innovation, the weight of the pump truck boom is reduced by 40% compared with products produced with traditional materials, and it successfully surpassed the three mountains that stand in front of the pump truck designer.
At the same time, the 45 meters of the CARBOTECH series of pump trucks have been mass-produced and sold all over the world. After the rigorous assessment of the CIFA boom fatigue test platform and the user's long-term practical test, it proves that the carbon fiber material has achieved great success as the pump boom.
