On May 5, 2017, the C919 China-made large commercial aircraft successfully flew for the first time. The successful forging of the outer cylinder of the main landing gear of a large aircraft originated from the 80,000-ton die forging machine with the world's largest pressing force.

Dr. Luo, the forging technology expert of ZGEZ Forging Technology Group, took 7 years and led the team to complete the forging of the outer cylinder of the C919 main landing gear. With the successful first flight of the large aircraft, 80,000 tons became famous all over the world.


Soon, they ushered in an even more arduous task-to produce forged parts for the outer cylinder of the main landing gear for an international ultra-long-range, wide-body civil airliner, which is currently one of the largest single parts on all aircraft in the world.
