German auto parts manufacturer ElringKlinger announced that it has reached an agreement with Airbus Group to cooperate in the development of fuel cell technology for the aviation market.
The company said: "ElringKlinger and Airbus will work together in the next few years to initially develop and verify a fuel cell stack compatible with aviation."
The partnership will include the establishment of a joint venture company in which ElringKlinger will own a minority stake and Airbus will hold a majority stake.
