On October 5th, AkzoNobel invested 20 million euros (about 160 million yuan) to build an advanced and sustainable powder coating factory in Zhongli, Taiwan. More advanced powder coating solutions. The fully automated factory will increase production capacity to meet the growing demands of the construction, auto parts, telecommunications, electronic components, furniture, household appliances, sports equipment and machine tools markets. Once put into operation, the new plant will bring the company closer to its overall goal of sustainable development of energy and water resources. In addition to creating a safer and healthier working environment, it is also expected to reduce energy consumption by 30%, increase water reuse rate to 60%, and achieve zero VOC emissions.

Akzo Nobel already has production plants for powder coatings, decorative coatings, packaging coatings and specialty coatings in many factories in Zhongli. The addition of this new powder coating factory will lead Taiwan’s industrial upgrading process and create huge production leverage and value.
