SAERTEX and Safran Nacelles signed a long-term cooperation agreement on carbon fiber fabrics for aircraft

SAERTEX and SAFRAN have signed a ten-year cooperation contract to produce aircraft equipment made of carbon fiber fabric.

Saertex and Safran Nacelles have signed a long-term agreement on carbon fiber fabrics for aircraft equipment. According to the contract, Safran will provide multiaxial carbon fiber fabrics, which can be used to produce cabins and use injection technology to manufacture engine cabins for various aircraft.

This contractual agreement implies the cooperation of two global operating companies: Safran is an international high-tech group whose business involves the aviation (propulsion, equipment and interiors), defense and space markets. Saertex is one of the world's leading manufacturers of textile reinforcements made of glass, carbon and aramid fibers, and has obtained DIN EN 9100 certification since 1997.

Thierry Viguier, Vice President of Material Purchasing of Safran Group, said: "We are very pleased that through the signing of this long-term agreement, we have begun a new partnership with this leader in the technical textiles field."

Saertex CEO Christoph Geyer also commented on the conclusion of the contract: "I am pleased that with Safran, we can persuade more important new partners to enhance our capabilities in the aerospace field and improve technology. "
