Arconic has signed two agreements with Airbus to supply 3D printed metal parts to Airbus, one of which is to supply high-temperature nickel alloy piping parts to the A320 family aircraft, and the other is to supply the A320 aircraft with titanium alloy body bracket parts .
Arconic plans to deliver the first part in the second quarter of 2017.
The two agreements are based on the 3D printing of titanium fuselage and engine pylon parts that Airbus signed with Arconic in April 2016.
It is this April agreement that brings Arconic to an innovative partnership with Airbus in the fast-growing field of metal 3D printing.
