Arkema announced that it will increase its polyvinylidene fluoride production in Changshu by 25% to meet strong market demand. Changshu will become the largest PVDF plant in the entire region of Asia.
This investment is supported by the group's technical polymers, which is part of its strategy to accelerate the growth of its high-performance materials. With this investment, Arkema has strengthened its dominance of operating production facilities on three continents-Europe, North America and Asia.
Since the production of polyvinylidene fluoride fluoropolymers in Changshu has doubled in 2012, the plant ’s latest 25% increase in output will further support the growth of its Asian customers, especially in new energy (battery and solar photovoltaic) and water resources, as well as traditional Coatings and industrial markets.
