On October 15, Arkema announced that, driven by the continued strong growth of the electric vehicle lithium battery market, it will increase the capacity of its Changshu plant dedicated to the market for high-performance polymer PVDF by about 50%.
The new capacity is expected to be put into production in the fourth quarter of 2020. Arkema said that the project further consolidated PVDF's global leading position, in line with Arkema's strategy of providing localized supply to customers.
