Arkema has announced plans to build a new state-of-the-art polyester powder resin production facility at its resin production base in India, including a new production unit and a dedicated laboratory that can provide both application development and technical support. The total investment of the project is about 15 million US dollars, and it is expected to be completed in 2018. The new production facility will be used to produce REAFREE® brand polyester powder resins. Polyester powder coatings are widely used in industrial coatings, as well as in the automotive and construction industries.
Arkema's production site in Navi Mumbai also produces alkyd and hydroxyacrylic acid, polyester resins and reactive polyamide curing agents. This investment has increased the production capacity of the Indian base, further consolidated the Group's long-term leading position as a supplier to the global coatings industry, and provided customers with cutting-edge technology, local production and strong technical support.
