ERPRO 3D FACTORY (E3DF) is a French company established in 2017, specializing in large-scale additive manufacturing. Since its establishment, E3DF has produced more than 19 million parts, most of which are made with 100% bio-based polyamide 11 powder. Arkema will acquire a 10% stake in E3DF to gain new expertise and accelerate the development of new applications for its high-performance polymers.
Arkema established a close cooperative relationship with E3DF in 2018 to use its unique bio-based and recyclable special polyamide series and N3xtDimension® advanced liquid UV curable resin to develop in the fields of cosmetics, medical, automotive and eyewear. Numerous projects are fully suitable for the fast-growing and demanding 3D printing market.
Through this investment in E3DF in exchange for its 10% stake, Arkema will become a member of the company’s strategic committee, thereby strengthening its existing partnership. The combination of Arkema, the designer of innovative solutions, and E3DF, a large additive manufacturing expert, will accelerate the development of new high-value-added applications in the 3D printing field.
This transaction is fully in line with Arkema's strategy to develop its specialty materials in applications that address major sustainability challenges.
