BASF’s 3D printing division Forward AM and material and system manufacturer Photocentric jointly developed a new product “Ultracur3D Powered by Photocentric”

After BASF's 3D printing division Forward AM acquired the XSTRAND business line, the company released new joint products in the field of new resin polymers, expanding the company's product innovation in the material field. The new joint product is called "Ultracur3D Powered by Photocentric" and is a product jointly developed by Forward AM and material and system manufacturer Photocentric. The new resin polymer material can be used with Photocentric's LCD system through custom design to promote the "industrialization of additive manufacturing."

New 3D printing materials will be exclusively used in Photocentric 3D printing equipment

In the research and development process, Forward AM and Photocentric have combined their respective expertise in 3D printing and optimized the 3D printing system for Photocentric. Because of Photocentric's patented LCD 3D printing process, it is usually used in industrial and medical industries. The new materials can meet the standards of high-performance materials, enabling users to make full use of Photocentric's 3D printers for mass production, relying on the advantages of speed and reliability, and eventually develop in the direction of mass production of equipment parts.

The two companies believe that their 3D printing materials are very suitable for applications in various industries, making it possible for large-scale manufacturing in new applications. The new 3D printing polymer product line is mutually beneficial for both companies. Forward AM has expanded its product line portfolio to provide photopolymers developed specifically for Photocentric 3D printers; and Photocentric can also provide customers with compatible The new series of polymer resins promotes customized mass production of parts in various industries.

FrancoisMinec, Director and General Manager of BASF, said: "We believe that the expertise gained through BASF's research on 3D printing materials for decades can combine our unique material combination with Photocentric's outstanding printing technology, and truly have the ability to achieve low cost. The ability to print parts".
