China's leading manufacturer of ultra-high-strength steel plates, wear-resistant steel plates, and weather-resistant steel plates, SDGT Special Steel Technology Group's rare earth steel research and development project has made an important breakthrough. The rare earth bearing steel has successfully achieved the industrial production goal of continuous casting of more than 5 furnaces and will become another SDGT Core products.
Rare earth steel products have a wide range of applications, which is of great significance for further extending the steel industry chain, linking advanced steel and high-end equipment manufacturing, and realizing the conversion of new and old kinetic energy.
SDGT initiated the research and development of the "Key Technology Research and Industrialization of High-quality Rare Earth Special Steel for High-end Manufacturing Equipment" in 2018. In the same year, the project was selected into the provincial key research and development plan and received a special subsidy of 10 million yuan. SDGT worked with the Institute of Metals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to mobilize capable forces in R&D, production, marketing and other business sectors to form a research team to promote the implementation of the project under the guidance of the "five in one" coordination mechanism.
Up to now, a total of more than 10,000 tons of rare earth special steels of various types have been organized, all of which have been sold
The SDGT rare earth steel research and development project will greatly promote the overall improvement of special steel in terms of variety, structure and quality, and further enhance the market competitiveness of products.
