On January 8, HNTJ announced that the company,HL Special Steel Group and Hunan University jointly signed the “Cooperation Agreement on the Establishment of a Joint Laboratory” and planned to jointly establish a “Joint Laboratory of Special Steel Substrates for High-end Sawing Tools” “(Hereinafter referred to as the” Joint Lab “), relying on the Joint Lab and taking the tripartite cooperation projects and research work as the link, further strengthen and deepen the cooperative relationship, and promote the localization process of special steel plates and strips for high-end sawing.
The announcement shows that the trilateral cooperation mainly includes technical research and personnel training.
1. In terms of technical research: it aims at the import substitution of high-end tools with special steels and is in line with the areas of strategic development of Hualing Liangang and Taijia products. The specific methods mainly include: the three parties jointly undertake provincial and ministerial projects, Hualing Liangang, Taijia Co., Ltd. have issued or funded research projects, and the three parties have negotiated special topics.
2. In terms of personnel training, special talents can be cultivated through co-construction of post-doctoral mobile stations, establishment of internship bases in enterprises, joint training of masters by universities and enterprises, and appointment of senior technical personnel of enterprises as mentors.
According to the announcement, HL Special Steel is an important high-quality steel production base in the central and southern regions of China. A medium-high carbon special steel project team was set up to specialize in the development of high-end materials for the tool industry and auto parts industry. Subsequent breakthroughs will be made mainly from steel for bimetal saw blades, steel for high-end cutting tools, and steel for automobile parts, to achieve a complete replacement of imports, and to develop a series of tool steel brands with independent intellectual property rights.
The School of Materials Science and Engineering of Hunan University has the “Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Advanced Materials Preparation Technology for National Defense Technology” and the “Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Jet Deposition Technology and Application”. With advanced testing equipment, it can meet the analysis and testing conditions required for the chemical composition, mechanical properties, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, microstructure, precipitation behavior and interface structure of materials.
