China large tow carbon fiber project started

On the morning of October 12, at Jilin Chemical Fiber Group Corporation, the country’s largest large-tow carbon fiber project officially started here. Cui Zhenji, Deputy Mayor of Jilin City, Hu Bingji, Director of the Management Committee of Jilin Economic Development Zone, Zhong Qiuye, Director of Jilin Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Wang Likuan, Director of Jilin State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and Song Dewu, Chairman and General Manager of Jilin Chemical Fiber Group, attended the ceremony. Cui Zhenji, Hu Bingji, Song Dewu and Sun Jianjiang jointly unveiled the Jilin Jinggong Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd.

This project is a project of Jilin Chemical Fiber Group Co., Ltd. based on the development of “low-cost, large tow, industrial-grade” carbon fiber industry, jointly established with Zhejiang Jinggong Group Co., Ltd. and Shaoxing Zhongfu Holdings Co., Ltd., and is also a project of Jilin Province After the government and China National Building Materials Corporation successfully signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, the first project was officially started.

The planned land area of the project is 125,000 square meters, with a total investment of 1.8 billion yuan. It is planned to build 6 production lines of 2,000 tons / year large tow carbon fiber, and finally form a production scale of 12,000 tons of large tow carbon fiber. After the project is completed and put into operation, the annual sales income will be 1.3 billion yuan, the profit will be 198 million yuan, and the taxes paid will be 145 million yuan. The 2000-ton / year large tow carbon fiber production line, which is being constructed this time, is planned to be completed and put into operation on October 1, 2017.

In recent years, the application of large tow carbon fiber in automobiles, wind power blades, rail transit and other fields has grown rapidly. It is expected that the demand growth rate will exceed 16% annually in the next few years. By 2020, global demand is expected to reach more than 150,000 tons. China will reach more than 77,000 tons. At present, China’s large tow carbon fiber is still blank, and all rely on imports. Large tow carbon fiber has become the mainstream direction of future carbon fiber development.

A few days ago, the Jilin Provincial Government and China National Building Materials Corporation successfully signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement to promote the 1,500-ton T800-class small tow carbon fiber demonstration line, 40,000-ton industrial-grade large-tow carbon fiber precursor, and 20,000-ton carbon in Jilin Province. The production of silk and other production lines is to strive to achieve a production capacity of 200,000 tons of raw silk and 100,000 tons of carbon filament by the carbon fiber industry of Jilin Province by 2025, and promote the development of the carbon fiber industry in Jilin Province. Being able to become the first project officially started after the cooperation framework agreement fully reflects the significance of the project.
